FIRE PREVENTION IN ABORIGINAL COMMUNITIES. Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation, 2007. DVD (20min), + Book                 (AV TH 9187.C45 CAN 2007)                                Aims to assist volunteer firefighters and housing managers in the effort to establish and improve fire prevention practices in their Aboriginal communities. Based on the research the DVD addresses the common causes of house fires and suggests how to prevent them. The manual covers ten case studies, including candle safety, chimney maintenance, arson prevention and the beginning and growth of a volunteer firefighting squad. Also includes checklists and tools that maybe useful in planning fire prevention programs.
