Honda Canada Inc. has recently informed the Office of the Fire Marshal that
an emergency response guide has been produced for the Civic Hybrid, their
new gasoline-electric hybrid automobile. The guide describes the vehicle,
shows where key components are located, outlines potential hazards and
explains emergency procedures to be used to handle the vehicle after an
accident and/or rescue vehicle occupants.
Honda recommends that emergency response personnel follow standard
procedures developed by their own organization for assessing situations and
dealing with potential hazards, as well as the procedures and precautions
contained in the guide.
The
Insight Emergency Response Guide is available on the Honda Canada web
site.
If you do not have access to the Internet and would like to obtain a copy
of the guide, please contact Heather Wadden at (416) 325-3264.
If you have concerns or questions about the Civic Hybrid or the guide,
please contact Honda Canada Inc. by writing to Honda Canada Customer
