TO ONTARIO FIRE CODE

With the introduction of Ontario Regulations 398/98 and 428/98, amending the 1997 Ontario Fire Code, we have revised the appropriate pages in the consolidated version of the Fire Code. A copy of amendment package no. 1 containing the revised pages for insertion into the Fire Code is enclosed with this Communiqué. Please note that each amendment is flagged by a notation in the margin with a footnote clearly identifying the amending Ontario Regulation.

As noted in the amendment package, additional copies can be obtained from the Ontario Government Bookstore.

Also, we have had a number of requests to provide a list of articles that had been revised or added to the 1997 Fire Code (O. Reg. 388/97), when compared to the previous Fire Code. In response to these requests, we have prepared a list which includes those articles that are either new or where the wording has been revised. Please note that some articles may have been deleted from the previous edition, but these are not included in the list.
