Comprehensive Fire Safety Effectiveness Model Overview

The overall objective of any fire department is to provide the community with the optimum level of protection from fire and other related public safety hazards while, at the same time, ensuring an appropriate level of health and safety for firefighters. Research to date has concluded that a variety of factors impact on a fire department's capacity to fulfil this objective, all of which must be considered when determining how the required resources should be deployed.

The Comprehensive Fire Safety Effectiveness Model is composed of eight sub-models.
