Please note: Nominator must belong to a fire department.

We are now accepting nominations for the 2017 Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council’s Fire Safety Awards. Throughout the year, we hear of many successful and innovative partnerships that are enhancing fire and carbon monoxide prevention in communities across Ontario. Why not nominate a deserving individual, organization, media outlet or young person from your community?

If your fire department’s nomination is selected to receive an award, a member of the fire department, along with the award recipient(s) and their guest, will be invited to attend the Fire Safety Awards ceremony and luncheon in Toronto. It is a prestigious event that always attracts lots of media attention and will provide positive recognition for the recipient and your fire department.

Nominating someone for a Fire Safety Award is as easy as 1, 2, and 3!

  1. Do you know of an individual, organization or media outlet that has partnered with your fire department by providing time, expertise or resources in support of fire or carbon monoxide safety in the community?
  2. Do you know of an extraordinary young person aged 16 and under who has demonstrated fire or carbon monoxide safety knowledge by taking appropriate action to prevent or mitigate a potentially hostile fire potential fire/CO incident situation?
  3. If you answered yes to either of the above questions, contact Maria Fortino at 647-329-1201 or by email at Maria.Fortino@ontario.ca and let us know you’d like to nominate someone from your community. We’ll take care of the rest. Nominations are due by Friday, April 14th, 2017

Please note that fire services personnel are not eligible for an award.
