Introducing a new program to your local school boards can be challenging, especially given the variety of programs being pitched by other community organizations competing for teachers' time.
The new Canadian Risk Watch was developed to help coalitions meet this challenge. Designed by teachers for teachers, Risk Watch provides educators with prepared lesson plans, activities that correlate directly to the provincial teaching curriculum and assessment tools that can be used for large-scale program evaluation purposes. In short, Risk Watch provides teachers with the resources they need to meet the teaching requirements set out by the provincial curriculum.
The resources at the left will help you promote Risk Watch in schools in your area. They give school board representatives and teachers the information they need to understand how easy the program is to use and how it fits with provincial curriculum.
Also at the left is a link to the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council's web site where you can purchase Risk Watch products and materials.
