Ontario Fire Service Certification Council

Procedure to Apply for Membership


If you are interested in being a member of the Certification Council, please submit a letter and résumé outlining how and why your background and experience fit the membership criteria.*

Your application will also include any experience in participation in other certification or apprenticeship programs, and special skills or knowledge related to the goal of the Certification Council. Describe your commitment to the certification process and what your contribution would be.

Please submit your application in confidence to:

Your application will be reviewed by the Chair of the Certification Council. Recommendations will then be forwarded to the Fire Marshal for approval. You will be notified in writing by the Chair of the Certification Council whether or not you have been selected.
