Fire Code Information Sessions
The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) is available to deliver information
sessions on the 2007 Fire Code to fire officials and industry associations upon
request. The host group is responsible for arranging the venue, guest
registration and recovery of costs where necessary.

- "2007 Fire Code: Objective-Based Format and Technical
Changes – An Overview” (1 hr presentation)
This session provides an overview of the new objective-based format of the 2007 Fire Code and highlights some of the key technical changes in the regulation.
- “2007 Fire Code: Technical Changes” (1/2 day seminar)
This session offers an in-depth review of the technical changes incorporated in the 2007 Fire Code. (Agenda)
- “2007 Fire Code: Objective-Based Format ” (1/2 day
seminar)
This session provides an introduction to the new objective-based format of the 2007 Fire Code. (Agenda)
- “2007 Fire Code: Objective-Based Format–
Comprehensive Session” (2 day workshop)
This session provides an in-depth review of the objective-based format and includes case studies that will introduce participants to the use of attributions and the process for reviewing and evaluating alternative solutions. Please note that this program includes session number 3 above but does not cover material contained in session number 2. Each participant must purchase a "participant workbook" and must also have a copy of the 2007 Fire Code Compendium during the workshop. (Agenda)
